u4gm Path of Exile 3.26 Weapon Attack Build Leveling Guide
Leveling a weapon attack build in Path of Exile 3.26 requires careful planning of skill gems, support links, and equipment upgrades to ensure smooth progression from the campaign into early maps. Starting at level 1, basic attack gems like Cleave or Spectral Throw are strong choices due to their ease of use and broad coverage. Linking them with Onslaught Support and Added Fire Damage Support provides both Poe 1 Divine Orb speed and early scaling.
By level 20, switching to skills with stronger map-clearing potential such as Cyclone or Lightning Strike becomes more efficient. When paired with Multistrike Support and Faster Attacks Support, these skills quickly eliminate groups of enemies and make leveling much faster.
Weapon upgrades should happen frequently during the campaign. A good rule of thumb is to replace your weapon every 10–15 levels, looking for higher physical damage per second (DPS). Swords, axes, or claws with attack speed and added damage modifiers can carry most builds through Acts 1–5.
Around Act 3–4, more powerful support gems such as Elemental Damage with Attacks Support and Melee Physical Damage Support become available. These add significant single-target damage, which is crucial for defeating bosses that have higher health pools.
On the defensive side, life and resistances are the most important stats during leveling. Resistances should be capped before Act 5 and then again adjusted after Kitava’s debuff in Act 10. For armor types, choose evasion or armor depending on your build direction, but prioritize life rolls above all else.
Movement skills like Leap Slam or PoE 1 Currency Whirling Blades linked with Faster Attacks ensure smoother transitions between packs and reduce downtime during the leveling process. Constant mobility is key for surviving tough encounters.
Flasks are another important aspect. A Quicksilver Flask with increased movement speed, combined with instant recovery life flasks, will cover most needs during the campaign. Adding a Granite Flask in mid-game ensures you can handle tougher physical hits.
By the time you reach level 60+, your gem setup should be stabilized, and most of your passive tree should support weapon damage and attack speed. At this point, start focusing on higher-tier rare items and six-link chest pieces to prepare for the mapping phase.
